- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Typically I'll quote on a per project basis. Hourly rates will depend on the programming language.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Schedule a meeting at my office. Get requirements and spec out the project together so there are no surprises. During this time, I'll suggest the best path of development based on the project and provide insight, documentation, samples that are similar. Then a quote estimate is agreed, and a negotiable down payment is established to begin development. During the development cycle, the established milestones are meeting points for any revisions or changes. At the end of project completion, code is delivered, with easy documentation and final invoice.
