I have worked with several editor but this is the best editor I have worked with. She is very patient and very committed to the project. She pays attention to every single details and went far beyond what I expected. English isn't my first language and I was worried how the book would come out in term of the grammar quality. I was in a very bad shape and Lynne just make my text look perfect. Before I gave her the contract to edit my book, I gave her a 2 pages to edit which I also gave to many other editors and out of all the editors. Lynne was the most outstanding one. And I had three different people confirming that her work was the most outstanding one. She does a very good job editing without changing your style of writing. She's just the best. No need to think twice in giving her your project, she will deliver the best quality and she will constantly stay in touch with you. She is a life saver, she deliver on time and kept your document safe. My book is title Relax and the subtitle is Jesus' peace in the midst of it all but I can tell you that having an editor like Lynne made me relax more because i knew that my work was in a very good hand. Lynne Feldman is a very patient and experienced teacher who puts a lot of dedication into understanding her students' weaknesses. She adapted her classes to my individual needs by focusing on the language used in my professional area, using material specific to my personal interests and providing lots of practical advice. Lynne's classes are fun and that helps overcome the difficulties of learning a new language.Oct 27, 2015

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My fees reflect my years of experience. As an editor, copy editor and proofreader, I am professionally trained and have worked in the field for 25 years. My fees are competitive. I charge .016 per word or $3 per page. Since the range of words is broad (for example, 3000 to 5000) I generally like to receive a sample of a client's writing to be able to assess the number of hours it will take to complete the project to do a sample edit.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I build trust with my clients through telling about myself and my success in helping clients to reach their goals. Building a trusting relationship is key. Usually I offer to do a sample edit so the client can evaluate my editing skills and make an informed decision when hiring an editor.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?As a copy editor and proofreader, I acquired my skills while working for an academic publisher. My skills were honed at Gage Publishing in Canada. I worked in concert with US publishers in Texas as the US edition of each book was adapted to the Canadian market. I also prepared academic manuscripts for published and copy edited dissertations. As an ESL instructor, I earned my certificate to teach ESL from Cambridge online. I have many years of classroom experience and now I work one on one.
