Val was a joy to work with! We hired her for my sisters baby shower and the photos came out absolutely beautiful! She was quick to respond to all of our questions and asked us a lot of thoughtful questions on our expectations for the event photos. We mostly wanted natural pictures along with some specific posed pictures, and Val definitely delivered! I wouldn’t hesitate to have her take pics of our events in the future!

This review is long overdue. I booked Val to shoot my baby’s first cake smash and birthday party event. I honestly could not be happier with my choice!
For starters, she is an all-around amazing person—very heartwarming and passionate about her work. She touched base with me in advance to understand my expectations and how I wanted the captures to be taken. She is super flexible and accommodating. I had last-minute requests, and she agreed immediately. In fact, she agreed to all my requests and gave really helpful suggestions to make the whole experience align with our expectations. She even showed up early to ensure the lighting and set-up were done well in time for the shoot and event. She was very active at the event, capturing beautiful candid moments. I loved the angles and her proactiveness in capturing every detail of the event. My son thoroughly enjoyed his cake smash and birthday party; it was a very fun-filled experience.
Experience aside, the actual pictures came out amazing. We are in love with them. I really am very thankful and can’t recommend her enough for capturing such precious moments of life.
Val exuded warmth and friendliness. She is super talented and extremely easy to work with. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always encourage lots of communication with my clients. The more communication we have, the more comfortable we feel with each other and ultimately the stronger the images. Also, simplicity is golden. My creative process is about documenting you, connecting with you, and simply capturing it all - this is my goal.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor Arts degree from UCSB (Go Gauchos!) and received training from Stanford Continuing Studies, RayKo, BAVC Media, and more.
