Carole was lovely to work with- she really got a sense of my style and how I was looking to change my wardrobe. Actually I was not looking for a whole wardrobe revamp- rather I was looking for ways to mix and match the pieces that I already had. She helped me see my wardrobe in a whole new light and taught me that I could combine pieces of my “going out” wardrobe with my business attire - all with a European flare. And she really shines when she puts together a highly curated shopping list of key pieces that I need to bring my whole look together. I was very happy with the final result and I hope that I can look as chic as the looks that she has put together!!May 25, 2020Verified
Carole is a pleasure to work with. She is genuine and thoughtful. When it comes to styling advice, she doesn't encourage you to buy a lot more other than what she thinks is essential and long lasting pieces that works well with most of your wardrobe. She also has great sources to share on where to buy quality accessories and clothings!Jan 21, 2020Verified
I was in serious need of some style help (2 young kids and no time) and Carole did a great job getting my wardrobe back on track. She listened to what I was interested in to understand my style and goals, but also gave me her professional advice and helped remove my guilt on getting rid of old clothes that just weren't flattering. 1. Showing me how to make the most out of my existing clothes - putting together different outfits with what I already own. 2. Giving specific suggestions on additional pieces would help including specific links to places to buy (including ecofriendly and second hand options) and how to look for quality items. 3. Helping me understand why certain pieces go together better than others so I can start doing it myself. And how to dress up or dress down an outfit with small changes (type of shoes, accessories, etc). 4. Great style boards to help me remember specific outfits as well as why they work and how to create similar looks on my own. I'm looking forward to working with Carole again and would highly recommend her for someone interested in doing more with their existing wardrobe.Feb 4, 2020Verified
Carole is fantastic. Thoughtful, experienced and kind, Carole provided beautiful styling options for my everyday work wear. What I loved most about working with Carole is her approach of 'less is more'. She creatively put together several outfits from my existing wardrobe pieces with a few new / thrifted pieces that she pre-selected for me. Working with her was a breeze and I definitely recommend her if you are looking for sustainable ways to up your wardrobe. Thank you Carole!Nov 5, 2019

- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?1. I like to call my customer first, to establish a contact and estimate how much help they need / want, what is their shopping budget, what is their wardrobe consulting for (event, working wardrobe, date, wedding..), and how they feel about themselves. 2. Shortly (within a week) after this first contact, i will gather information and inspirations for them, and see what kind of stores we are going for, and set a meeting at their place to estimate what clothes they need, and see if there are basics in their wardrobes than can be reused. I will go through their clothes and advise them on what should be kept or not. It will also be a time to show them my first research and see if they dig for it or not! 3. the following step is to go shopping together (1/2 day generally) and try new things and get what the customer is looking for. 4. Last step (optional), but advised, is to go back to the customer's place and create new silhouettes with a mix of their new and old clothes.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I graduated in 2007 from a Costume Design Bachelor, in Bournemouth, Uk. Since then, I have been working in Paris in the film industry as a costume stylist and assistant; my job was to create silhouettes / wardrobes for actors, organize fittings, be budget savvy. Recently relocated from France to SF , I am looking to build a business that is not exclusively entertainment based. I am looking to use my expertise to advise my clientele I have a good idea of fit, and no fear of negative feedback as I think it brings excellent outcomes.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?As a former costume stylist, i am naturally drawn to shapes, textiles and colors. I have used my styling skills to put together outfits for a decade in a demanding industry and I love the idea of offering this opportunity to my clients.
