Introduction
Hello. My name is Drew and I am looking forward to serving you on Thumbtack. I am a 20+ years highly experienced general contractor and project manager, having worked for several of the leading home remodeling and construction restoration companies in California as a senior project manager. My personal trade specialty is electrical and carpentry, however my 20 years experience in general contracting extends to performing and managing all trades including painting, countertops, sheetrock, and flooring. I come with an array of high quality, well vetted subcontractors for the Bay Area. My references on Thumbtack can be contacted personally also if you require. Recently, I left working for other contractors and acquired my California General Contracting License with the State Licensing Board. My License # will be added as soon as they issue it. I am setting up Joyful Remodels to be able to fulfill my dream of running my own business again and making home owners happy. My customers describe me as being very skilled, helpful, honest and highly experienced in home remodeling. Please send me your detailed project, we can do a zoom walk through call, and go from there.

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I like to set up a phone call to learn about their need, timing, budget, and availability. The next step is to do a video walk through on zoom or equivalent platform, in order for the home owner to walk me through what they are trying to achieve. If they have any documents, I like to be sent those- e.g plans, brief, pictures, idea books. From there, if it make sense, I would do a site visit. If it's difficult to diagnose on the zoom, I can come to the site for a call out fee, which can later be credited towards the job cost, once I commence.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have done electrical training (IICRC), Electrical Theories and and Principles, and have 10+ years of electrical work practice under other licensed electricians. I have equally done 20+ years of carpentry working under various general contractors. I was a licensed general contractor in Colorado until I moved to California. I have worked under some of the biggest names in home development in Lake Tahoe.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I started with a friend mentor
