Janice Chuang Illustration

Hi! I'm an artist familiar with a wide range of materials (pencil, pastel, watercolor, digital), and I'm constantly experimenting with and learning about new techniques + fields. I'm always up for a challenge, and I work hard to come up with something that's a great solution for everyone. I’ve loved drawing and art since I was a kid, and it’s amazing that I can do this as my job. Illustration isn’t what most people think, that I just get inspired and draw whatever I want to; illustration is a collaborative effort, between me and the client. I love the problem solving that’s required with every project: how can I make the client happy while bringing my own ideas in, and creating a solution that also pushes me to grow as an artist? Some projects are easy and I’m fortunate to have clients who support my independent decisions, but the ones that bring new challenges are exciting because they show me the possibilities that I didn’t know existed. I also love adventures and meeting new people, and working on different projects with different clients brings a diversity to my work that I enjoy.
