I work closely with clients to find out their 1) needs, 2) budget, and 3) timeline. We can utilize existing pieces and layout, start from scratch, or land somewhere in-between. My goal is to help you breathe easier in your space, whether that be a single-family home or a rent-controlled apartment.

INTERIOR DECORATION
Discuss specific needs, preferences and vision.
Measure and/or take photos of the existing interior.
Prepare a budget for the project.
Make preliminary selections and color schemes.
Work with client to decide upon pieces and placement.
Shop online or in-store for agreed upon pieces.
Arrange pieces to achieve desired function and aesthetic.
(RE)ORGANIZATION
Discuss needs, frustrations, hang-ups, and vision.
Measure and/or take photos of space.
Prepare a budget for the project.
Provide preliminary ideas for maximum functionality and flow.
Assist client in decluttering and reorganizing spaces.
Shop online or in-store for needed organizational pieces.
Assemble pieces and arrange space to achieve desired function and aesthetic.

Sarah did much of the interior design in my home--from paint colors to tile patterns, from furniture to throw rugs--and my wife and I are extremely happy with her work. The greatest testimonial came from a real estate agent who was appraising our house for sale and said, "You do not need to stage this house for a sale. Keep everything in place."
Sarah has what I would call a classically-inspired modern taste. In modern fashion, she is not afraid of using color or bold patterns but she does it in a restrained way that complements everything else in the home. Classically, he is very keen on accents--pillows, throws, centerpieces--but the rooms never appear cluttered or overdone. Her taste in furniture and lighting is also inspired by the melding of the classic and modern.
Sarah was great to work with. Dogged, but not overbearing. Inspired but open-minded. And importantly, while she has wonderful taste, she appreciates value.

Sarah is amazing to work with. Not only did she accommodate my tight budget, but also made me a part of the process. My tiny studio with a flat layout now looks so well sectioned and I've received so many compliments from family and friends for it's amazing design and creativity.

Sarah is amazing! She is patient, thoughtful, and inspired – a true partner in creating the perfect living space. From Sarah's initial visit, it was obvious she had a vision of how she wanted to decorate our home, all the while incorporating our existing aesthetic and style. She carefully inspected every room, wall and random space with a smile – an excitement that was contagious without question, especially for my wife. Sarah is a very talented designer and organizer with an eye for bringing together accents and existing pieces seamlessly in a room. We first worked with Aligned Design to transform our two-bedroom, two-bathroom rental property into a stylish and modern rental unit. Sarah did an amazing job - it has been occupied since day 1 on the market. We then had her decorate our two children's rooms and she created wonderful environments that combine modern taste and her eye for color with whimsical kid themes - a butterfly garden and surfer oasis. She is collaborative, responsive and thorough. I highly recommend Sarah to anyone looking to bring an artistic and stylish touch to any room or office, and couldn’t be happier with Aligned Design’s work – all within my budget!
