FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is simple and transparent. For notarizations, I charge $15 per signature/signer. If you need me to come to you anywhere in San Francisco or Daly City, there’s a $50 mobile notary fee. Want to save on that? Just meet me at my office—no mobile fee applies! If you’re hiring me as a Legal Document Assistant (LDA), I offer flat-rate pricing based on the type of document you need drafted. This rate includes services like notarization and e-recording. Any county filing or recording fees are separate and added to the total. No surprises—just honest pricing for quality service.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For notarizations, I’ll ask what type of document you need notarized and make sure you have a valid ID ready for the appointment. When I work as a Legal Document Assistant (LDA), I start by explaining that I am not an attorney—which means I can’t give legal advice, tell you which forms to use, or represent you in court. My role is to help you complete, notarize (if needed), and file or record the legal documents or real estate deeds you need. Before I can begin, California law requires that I give you a written contract. You’ll need to read, sign, and return it before I start preparing your documents.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a registered and bonded Notary Public and Legal Document Assistant (LDA) in San Francisco County. I hold an ABA-Approved Certificate in Paralegal Studies, and to maintain my qualifications, I complete the required continuing legal education hours under California law—both as a paralegal and as an LDA. Professionally, I work as a paralegal at a law firm, handling legal matters involving a federal agency, which required me to pass an additional screening and background check. When I assist members of the public, I do so strictly in my role as a Legal Document Assistant—not as your paralegal. My LDA services are focused on helping you complete, and file legal documents without providing legal advice.
