I offer private tutoring in reading and writing and assistance with writing and reading assignments of all kinds for native English speakers and bilingual English students.
Having taught as lecturer in academia for several years and later as a tutor to kids ages 6-16, I’m prepared to assist with specific assignments at any level, or to create a general reading and writing program to help improve dexterity with language and comprehension. I work well as a reading and writing partner and general homework tutor for young children. Additionally, I have the experience to help guide middle and high school students who feel overwhelmed by large writing assignments or college application essays, or to assist adults seeking a higher level of fluency in English.
I love teaching outside of the classroom because it dispenses with all of the social distractions and institutional agendas. This allows me to hone in on the goals and strengths of each student. When working one-on-one, I really get to know my students well and can better meet their individual needs.

Kristen was excellent in every way. Her editing suggestions were all very helpful.
By the way, this block of your form was almost invisible to me. I didn't even know it was here, until "Submit Review" wouldn't work for me, and I searched for the reason why. This part of the form appeared very faintly, the text in it was illegible because it was so faint.

Kristen edited my PhD dissertation in psychology superbly.
