Hi, my name is Ann Souren. I specialize in contemporary singing styles. I address the individual needs of students and tailor my lessons to meet their needs. The lessons are dynamic, fun, and extremely time-efficient. I aim for results, and I guarantee results. Most of my students feel the difference even after the first session. It usually takes me just 2-3 months to turn a complete beginner into a singer. I strongly believe that with the right teacher anyone who can speak and has an ear for music can become a singer.
I have 20 years of experience as a vocal coach and more than 35 years experience as a professional singer/recording artist, singing on stages of different caliber, as well as in the studio. I know what it takes to become an outstanding performer. I have performed with various live bands, orchestras, big bands and shared the stage with Grammy award winners Yolanda Adams, Diane Schuur, Patti Austin, Richard Marx, Leo Sayer and many more. I'm passionate about sharing all of my knowledge and experience with students who are ready to take their first steps into the music industry, or hobbyists, who simply love music and singing. I helped thousands of people around the world learn how to sing or improve their existing singing technique.

Ann is such an amazing vocalist and teacher. She’s able to quickly identify your strong and weak spots and directs practice to work on areas, tailored to your voice. She has a ton of experience teaching and is very straightforward and pleasant to work with. I started out with no experience and it’s unbelievable how far my voice has come in 6 weeks

I had literally never sung before and had no idea how to use my voice, even when it came to changing my tone while just talking. I couldn't project it tell either, and would NEVER dare sing karaoke or sing along to a radio song.
In just a month, I already feel vastly more confident in singing and I can actually do a couple songs now and understand so much more about how to use my voice. I tried out 3 singing coaches is Ann is the BEST! when I was first looking for a coach, I was looking for someone who can help me improve the fastest. I saw Anns vireos of her helping her students sing (before / after) and I was shocked!!! Her technical advice is SUPER GOOD!! It’s really clear she’s coached like hundreds of people and has really good techniques. It feels like every week I’m learning something new. I went from robotic singer with no head voice and very cheesy sound (no support, sounds like I’m trying too hard), to actually having a resonating voice I’m proud of.
We started with Imagine, Take me to church, rolling in the deep, Best Part, and now Losing control . I can hit the high notes way more easily and my voice actually rings / has vibrato / is way more smooth/connected!!!!
Ann got me like 3 years of teaching in 8 months and I’m really excited to keep working with her!! 😍 her personality is so friendly and welcoming and warm, and her feedback is honest and on point!!!! She also is generous with the time and i can tell she genuinely loves what she does and cares for her students!!! Best teacher EVER!
Also the rates arent cheap but also I’d rather work with the best than pay cheap for a bad teacher. With the other teachers I tried, I barely progressed 😭😭😭😭😭

I’ve been taking lessons with Ann for the past 2-3 months, and it’s been AMAZING! The progress I’ve made in such a short period of time and the way my voice sounds now is simply unbelievable. I’ve taken voice lessons with other coaches, but Ann is simply on a different level, I can’t even compare. She’s very knowledgeable, passionate and patient. She explains everything so well, her exercises are different, not just same boring “ma me mi” every day. She creates exercises right on the spot and tailors them to students needs, and then we use them in the songs. Also, Ann is a brilliant singer herself, I’ve seen her perform, she’s incredible. She’s also a wonderful person, her personality is unmatched! She makes sure you get all the knowledge and have fun in the process. I’m so happy I found Ann!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The current rate is $130 for 60 minutes, $110 for 45 minutes, $90 for 30 minutes. There's a $10 discount off of each lesson, if you buy a pack of 4 lessons and attend regularly at least once a week. All lessons are pre-payed.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will ask the student about their availability and we can book our first lesson. To book the lesson please expect to send the payment by Venmo. Upon receiving the payment, I’ll book the studio time for you.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Professional and semi-professional singers, hobbyists, karaoke singers, shower and kitchen singers, all levels are welcome! I have also worked with announcers, actors and voice over actors, managers and CEOs of companies.
