I help clients who already have a completed novel, memoir, or story collection get the manuscript ready to send out to agents and publishers. My thorough written critique includes notes on plot, character, structure, writing style, theme, and any other issues that are relevant to the book, as well as line edits. I bring to my work a decade of teaching writing to Masters of Fine Arts candidates in Bay Area universities. As the author of four novels and two story collections, and as the founder of a small press, I have a strong understanding of the world of publishing.
