It was such a pleasure having Sarah Facepaint at our sons 2nd Birthday. I contacted Sarah after someone cancelled on me 3 days before our party. She really saved the day! Her face painting is of very high quality. The designs are unique and no face is done the same! She is very patient and great with kids! We will have her at future parties for sure!!! Thanks Sarah!Jun 25, 2019Verified
Sarah Joy was great to work with! She painted our group of 9 for Halloween in kabuki makeup. She really thought about our request for Kabuki makeup in looking up the history of the makeup and the styles of the faces to be creative and flexible with our individual preferences!Nov 2, 2018Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I like to keep my hourly rates affordable because I want my services to be accessible to all. I raise my rates during busy seasons like Halloween to make the time and stress a little more worth it, and if I have to travel distances taking over 30 minutes.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I have been painting since I was old enough to hold a brush: probably 3 or 4 years old. I began with watercolors and oil paints, then acrylic, and in recent years, my new passion: face and body paint. I was always very protective of my work and refused to take art classes because I wanted my art to be my own. I finally broke down in college and added a studio art minor to my Spanish language major and quickly discovered that I was in heaven. I'm not sure if I ever chose visual art: I think it chose me.
