- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We price based on scope, not a one-size-fits-all rate. A basic Ring doorbell install starts around $150–$200. A full smart lock + doorbell + camera package typically runs $350–$600 depending on wiring complexity. Security system installs (sensors, control panel, cameras) range from $500–$1,500+. We never add hidden fees — you get a clear written estimate before any work begins. Military, first responder, and senior discounts available.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, I do a free 15-minute phone consultation to understand your goals and property layout. Then I conduct an on-site assessment to identify vulnerabilities and recommend the right equipment — no upselling, just what you actually need. I provide a written quote same day. Once approved, most installs are completed in a single visit. After installation I walk you through every feature, set up your app, and make sure you're 100% comfortable before I leave.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a California BSIS (Bureau of Security and Investigative Services) Alarm Company Operator license and have completed manufacturer certifications for Ring, Arlo, Schlage, and Hikvision systems. I've also completed coursework in network security and IP camera configuration. I stay current with NFPA 731 standards for premises security systems and regularly attend industry training to keep up with evolving smart home technology.
