- How did you get started doing this type of work?
When the economy started turning bad, I noticed that there were more and more people who could not afford legal representation. I had worked in legal assistance offices and knew that there was a growing need above the poverty level for affordable legal assistance, and started California Affordable Legal Services to do so.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Paralegal services are our most common service, specializing in civil litigation support in both the California and Federal Courts, including brief and motion assistance in appellate courts. We also provide attorney representation in all areas of law, including temporary representation.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
It is always best to interview and question any attorney or paralegal concerning his or her expertise in the area of law you are looking for help in. Use your instincts and shop around.
