FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I usually charge a flat rate for my services, if I charged an hourly rate, some jobs would be prohibitively expensive. Most virus removals can take many hours to complete. I've noticed that giving a final price upfront doesn't cause later surprises. I provide discounts on the labor rate if the I provide the parts needed, this way I can provide a better warrantee. I always use the best parts available for the best price I can provide. There are always options available and those can be discussed as necessary.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First I greet the person, I then ask then about their needs and concerns. Inspect the device to be repaired and offer solutions with prices and options to meet their needs.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been working with computers since I was very young, computers were more complicated to use and I really enjoy challenges. I use to help the computer lab teacher teardown and rebuild the Apple II and the IBM XT computers. I remember soldering memory chips to the IBM XT motherboard and test the length of the cable for the external hard drive, at the time all hard drives were external and were very big. Floppy disks really were floppy, hence the name floppy disk. I remember to much to mention here.
