Introduction: I provide horseback riding lessons, horse training, and horsemanship lessons using a natural style of horsemanship that I developed that establishes a healthy relationship with the horse based on trust, confidence and respect. I have an excellent safety record and an outstanding record in rehabilitating horses with behavior problems. I enjoy sharing my passion for horses and teaching people how to have a good relationship with their horses. I also enjoy teaching people how to ride horses in a safe and consistent manner.

I have loved horses my entire life but was never in a position to own my own horse. I then spent 16 years helping rescue Thoroughbred horses, and finally at 50 years of age, I decided it was time for me to realize my dream. I wanted to adopt a rescued Thoroughbred but I had no idea how to handle or properly ride such a spirited animal. Dave goes above and beyond the duties of a trainer in caring for horses and clients . He is conscientious and respectful of the horses and clients needs. The kids who come for the program just love him as do the horses he trains.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I believe in safety first and foremost. By giving TCR Horsemanship lessons prior to riding, greatly reduces bodily injury when riding a horse. You would agree, it would be safer for anyone to be able to communicate with a 1,000 lb animal first.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
45 years of experience working with horses that were crazy, so much so that some were going to be put down and destroyed.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
It's been a life long passion of mine.
