FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My parents had a business and taught me double entry manual bookkeeping when I was young. Since then, it's always come naturally to me, and I've ended up doing bookkeeping nearly every place I've worked, no matter what I was initially hired to do.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I've done everything - Setup accounting systems from a box of unopened bank statements and receipts, catch up neglected bookkeeping, clean up bad accounting done by unskilled helpers, put systems in place that streamline work flow and save time, train entire corporate departments on best practices for cash handling, data entry, payroll, and all aspects of accounting.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look for real experience in accounting, not just someone who knows how to enter data into your software system. Without an understanding of double entry and financial statement flow through it is easy for someone unskilled to create problems. You don't want more stress!
