Introduction
As a professional photographer, I've shot everything from United Airlines flights and events to getting hired by the Obama Foundation to be President Obama's personal photographer, featured on his Instagram account and in People Magazine online. I am also the South Bay photographer for the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative.
I honed my skills over the past two decades traveling to over 25 countries with my camera, shooting in a vast variety of settings, from street photography in India to monasteries in China and events all over Europe and the US.
My specialty is photography that captures candid, organic moments – the kinds of photos that bring back powerful memories for years to come. I’m deeply passionate about stories and emotions, and love helping folks remember special moments in their lives with as much color, depth, and feeling as possible.

David was an absolute pleasure to work with! I've never worked with a photographer who is as professional yet as fun to work with. David was the photographer for our wedding in June, and we can't imagine our experience without him! His attitude, enthusiasm, and eye for candid moments perfectly captured our vibe and event. Friends and family asked about him after the event and took his card during - he was impressive to everyone there! He was so quick with the returned catalog of pictures and even included a fun website for our guests to look back on all the action. I wish I could give David more than 5 stars. We hired him to photograph a couple's photoshoot at a park followed by our U.S. wedding reception that same evening. From the moment I messaged him on this app, he was responsive and informative. After we hired him, he scheduled a Zoom session with us to discuss the type of photos we wanted for our couple's shoot and the itinerary for the reception. He provided a lot of thoughtful suggestions so that he could capture the best pictures possible, such as bringing props to the photoshoot to show our fun side. He also provided insightful ideas about the reception photography, such as using plenty of string lights and for the sparker sendoff, using non-smoky sparklers and making sure that we had plenty of buckets of water nearby. On the day of the photoshoot and reception, he arrived at the park 30 minutes early to scope out the best backdrops. He made us feel at easy and made us laugh throughout the photoshoot. He had great ideas for how to pose and what backgrounds looked best. The photographs from both the photoshoot and reception turned out beautifully. We couldn't have asked for better pictures. The composition, lighting, colors, exposure are impeccable. Not only that, he has a knack for capturing photographs of people at the perfect moment - his photos candidly captured people's emotions and tell a story. The cherry on top of the cake was that he sent us all of the processed photos within two days of the reception, even though he had another wedding the day after ours!
David is truly one in a million. I will definitely hire him again if I need a photographer and I would recommend him to my closest friends and family.
