Hi there! I’m Kavya Iyer, a lifestyle photographer with over eleven years of experience behind the lens. My love for photography began in childhood, inspired by my father. After seven years as a Software Engineer, I knew I had to return to my true passion of capturing stories through my camera. I am floored by how utterly beautiful the photographs Kavya took and edited are. My husband, 10 month old baby and I went to the Natural Bridges beach park in Santa Cruz for a 20 minute Fall Mini Session, expecting maybe a few photos would be cute enough for a holiday card and to frame in our house, but she sent us a gallery of like 90 STUNNING images. I don't know how she managed to get that in just 20 minutes, I'm seriously in awe. She was delightful to work with as well, very easygoing, friendly, and our 10 month old -- who has been getting stranger anxiety with everyone lately -- immediately warmed up to her. The images she captured of him smiling and playing ended up being fantastic because of that. She also took the best pictures I've ever seen of my husband ever. I didn't imagine we could get such beautiful photos, and I'm beyond pleased. She also had an extremely fast turnaround, just about a week and a half. Do not hesitate to have Kavya take your family/couple/engagement photos. I'm not big on writing reviews in general but am so inspired by this great experience with her.

Kavya could not have done a better job with our engagement photos! She was prompt to reply and arrange a rather quick appointment with us as we were on a deadline. She was friendly and professional throughout the shoot, providing the right amount of suggestions/tips to get the perfect shots without being overbearing. She is also quite adventurous, climbing down rocks with camera in hand to get to a beach in order to get the perfect shot! I ended up with so many great pictures that she sent within 2 days after the shoot. I would definitely recommended her for all your photography needs.

Very high quality work! Kavya did a great job for our pre-wedding photoshoot. We shot at 2 locations in the golden hours (morning and evening). She helped us in choosing the locations and outfits, and brought some cool props as well! She was very prompt in replying to our queries, and gave us the final photographs in a timely way. The photos looked awesome. We used them at many places in our wedding (even had some put up poster-size at the venue!)

It was an absolutely wonderful experience working with Kavya. She was very professional and gave great advice during the photo shoot. Only a few days after the event, not only she sent me more pictures than we agreed, but also she added her professional touch to all of them without any extra charge! This was the first time I used Thumbtack and as I am not very tech savvy, I had a hard time to respond to her messages. Kavya patiently walked me through every step including how to submit payment. All the pictures turned out great too.
