Paula has been life-coach, guide, and role-model for 22 years. With Paula's guidance I have learned how to: Communicate clearly and honestly with family, friends, classmates and co-workers both verbally and through letter-writing and to relate to others from a place of honesty. Respond to verbally abusive comments that I received from classmates at a reunion and how to express my feelings in a way that didn't put others down. Feel safe in a romantic relationship which I never believed would be possible. She also helped me to see what was real and what was not and taught me how to clarify what I want in a relationship. Paula uses her training, knowledge and experience to create a safe environment. She gives me her full attention and total acceptance and mirrors back the goodness within me and all that is right. I trust her completely. She connects with me from a place of deep caring and understanding and guides me while my own false beliefs and negative self-perceptions melt away. She encourages me to take action and rejoices with me when I have successes. At times, she feels like the big sister I never had.

My experience with Paula has been invaluable. I sought out her counseling skills in a time of crisis, but she has offered me so much more than I expected. She has expanded my life and my way at looking at my life. She is utterly kind, spectacularly generous and offers a soft and safe place for self exploration and growth. I've been seeing Paula Heartland for counseling help with psychological issues and she is the best person I've ever worked with. She is psychologically knowledgeable, and has an outlook that sees people in essential nature as whole, good, a potential or actuality that can come out in life. She has a wonderful warm, non-judemental presence that has countless times helped me overcome my fears and speak, work on things. I have worked with Paula for over 20 years! I think that fact speaks volumes about how I feel about her as a coach. But to give some details, Paula is a wonderful coach - deep but also very practical. I have been through so many major life events with her (and still am): dating, marriage, adopting and parenting a child, medical issues, loss of a parent. She has been consistently comforting yet penetrating in her insights into whatever is going on in the moment. I recommend her very highly.
