- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always loved flowers, they make me happy. When I work with plants and flowers it is like therapy for me. I have given my services for free to friends and family members for years and decided to try to develop a business.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Floral design for events, large and small. 20 plus years of experience. I provide a professional service which is located in my home so I pass the savings onto my customers. This type of work is not a job to me because I get satisfaction from saving people money and providing them with beautiful floral arrangements for all the events in their life. I love floral design because most often when you deliver flowers to people it makes them happy. Happy people are so much fun to deal with rather than people. I brings smiles to peoples faces when I deliver beautiful flowers and I get to leave their office and go on to the next customer.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Contact the vendors referrals and consider the length of time they have been in business. It is very possible to have beautiful floral arrangements without paying too much for them. Consider the fact that most florists have high overhead which has to be passed onto the end user. I have my shop in my home which eliminates that cost which then is passed onto the customer. In this case higher costs do not mean better quality.
