Petre is the best contractor we have. We've worked with him for a few years now, on a wide range of electrical issues in our old San Francisco Edwardian. He solved a complicated lighting situation in our bathroom, installed new lights and new switches for outdoor lighting and has dealt with various electrical problems. He always responds promptly, shows up on time, and communicates exactly what he is going to do. He is very thorough and he is very willing to work with me (I'm a perfectionist) to address the aesthetics. He's an exceptional problem solver and great to deal with. I can't recommend him highly enough.

I hired Petre on Thumbtack to do complete several electrical jobs at my home in Noe Valley. Petre hung two chandeliers above my dining room table, which required moving junction boxes to the appropriate places so those chandeliers were centered on the table. Petre also hung a flat screen TV on the wall and hid the wires in the wall. Lastly, he fixed one simple light fixture that was broken in a closet.
Working with Petre was very easy. He wrote up a sheet with the cost for each item when he arrived at my home. (The chandelier hanging was hard to price out in advance.) I left Petre in my home to complete the job while I was at work. He was clear in his communication.
In general, I was happy with the quality of the work. There were a few small issues with the chandeliers, but Petre was responsive to my phone calls, and he came back just a few days later to address and resolve the issues.
Petre's pricing was fair given he's a talented and licensed electrician. I would definitely recommend him and hire him again.
