About this pro
Breyer Editorial Services has added so much value to the book I wrote. I highly recommend!Jun 27, 2018Verified
I have always been annoyed when something promised doesn't occur. Belinda passed my first very important test. She started and finished as she promised. I could tell that she thoroughly read my manuscript and paid attention to the plot. The basics, grammar, was well done and made my novel read more easily. Her suggestions, ninety per-cent of which I followed, were entirely appropriate and correct. What amazed me was Belinda's ability to remember some item in the book that occurred 40 pages earlier. For example, "didn't you say on page 11,....." when her note to me appeared on page 51. She promised to help pre and post editing, either in e-mail form or call and that was most appreciated. Overall, five stars.Mar 29, 2017Verified
Ms. Belinda did a wonderful job on editing my manuscript!! She challenged me to think about certain points and helped me delve deeper into others. All in all I definitely plan on coming to her for my second book! ♥️♥️Apr 23, 2018Verified
Belinda was a great developmental editor. She helped me to reorganize my content and employed a thorough and thoughtful approach to her craft. She was available for pre and post consultations.Jan 23, 2017Verified
Belinda proofread and edited my novel (80k words) for a very reasonable price. Since English is my second language she had to weed out a lot of punctuation and grammar mistakes. Her keen eye reliably discovered inconsistencies in the plot and she suggested intelligent ways to fix it, but never tried to impose her ideas on me. She made sure my protagonist sounded Californian by giving him the right phrasing and voice. She delivered exactly the services that she offered. My novel feels significantly stronger now. I will happily employ her for my next book!Jun 3, 2016Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I prefer to charge by the hour, but I find most customers want a set price. I'm flexible.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? We discuss the project. I like to find out what the author is looking for in the way of editing. I review the manuscript, and provide them with a sample edit. When I've done the sample edit I give them an estimate and we go from there.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Bachelor's degree in English with a minor in Creative Writing. I have a certificate in publishing from UC Berkeley, which was awarded with distinction.
