FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing is based on a flat fee model plus project management. Flat fee pricing is based on the complexity of the project, square footage, number of rooms, length of project, and client needs. Every project is different, so each one has a design fee appropriate to its unique scope of work. Once we have visited the site and understand the scope, we can then determine the design fee. Project management, procurement, and installation fees are billed hourly.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We like to get to know our potential client with an introductory phone call followed by a site visit to see the space and learn more about their goals and ideas. With a good idea of what the scope of the project is, we prepare a design proposal and submit to the new client for review and approval. Once approved, we get to work!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a B.A. in art and design from California Lutheran University, Thousand Oaks, CA. and an interior design degree from The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, Los Angeles, CA. After graduation, I spent the next 10 years working for a high end interior design firm (Hendrix Allardyce) as an interior design project manager and then as a kitchen designer for a luxury cabinetry company (bulthaup). My experience has given me a wealth of knowledge in design, space planning, project management and construction.
