Introduction: My first and foremost objective is to please my clients by providing the highest quality work with extreme attention to detail. I have had 30 years experience in painting murals and 20 years experience with creating faux finishes. My materials are of the highest quality, lightfast and very durable. I guarantee a finished product that my clients will be proud of and enjoy for years to come.
I have been an artist all my life and love what I do. I look forward to every day that I can create a visual pleasure. I know that when I am happy with my work, my client will be happy as well.

I am restoring the interior wood in my 100-year old craftsman home, and after stripping the wood Jan was able to camouflage the imperfections and paint residue left behind. The wood is gorgeous after Jan did her magic.

Jan refinished our kitchen cabinets and painted our dining room and kitchen. She did a great job and all in good time. She also painted my parent's house and we were very pleased with that job too. Would hire her again !

I'm an artistic painter myself so I haven't used Janet Ford, all that aside I have to give kudos to anyone who provides such skill at blending outlet and speaker covers into the surrounding elements. It's painstaking work and she really rocks it!

If you need someone to help you with your design questions and someone who will go out of their way to do the best job possible, then hire Jan Ford of Surface Designs! I wanted to have my great room re-done and before talking to Jan I wasnt sure what colors would work with the carpet and furniture in my great room or exactly what textures/designs would be most pleasing to the eye. Jans expertise in color theory combined with her innate sense of style, her knowledge of textures/shapes, as well as her sense of place and design has resulted in our family's most favorite room to hang-out in, in addition to being a wonderful room for entertaining!
I plan to call Jan next time I decide to make changes for the better in our home. She was always on time, easy to communicate with and clear in her approach, efficient, tidy, thoughtful, courteous, and lastly, her prices are very reasonable. Jan Ford of Surface Designs is number one in my book and I would recommend her excellent services to all!
