Jessica was a delight to work with! I was feeling a tired due to an on-going move (and a lot of other things...because life?? COVID??) and was ready to call it quits early, but she encouraged us to push through because she wanted to give me my money's worth. And by the end, I was feeling really good and happy that she was insistent. :)
She has a kind and easy-going demeanor that put us at ease. And her laugh is genuine. I really enjoyed working with her, and so excited to see the final products. Also, my husband enjoyed working with her and we both loved the location she chose! As we were driving home, we talked about how glad we both went because it actually felt like a brief but much-needed mini-escape.
I highly recommend her for all your photography needs! I would love to hire her for more family shoots with extended family, but everyone lives too far away.... I'm going to put it out in the universe anyway in hopes that Jessica be the photographer. :)

Look no further, Jessica helped me capture the moment I proposed to my now Fiance. She went above and beyond to make sure the photos came out perfect. She spent more time with us than I expected and geuinely made me feel important. Since it was a surprise she made sure we took all poses she wanted and even recommended plenty. The pictures were sent to me the very next day! I wish I could give her more than 5 stars!

Jessica was amazing! I reached out to about four different photographers via thumbtack and she was the first one to respond. (That’s huge in my book) It wasn’t some canned auto response, I could immediately tell it was an actual person inquiring about what I was looking for. Her pricing is damn good especially considering her experience, professionalism and the quality of the product delivered. As soon as Jessica arrived (early by the way) she made contact with me set up and immediately started doing reconnaissance of the venue. She found little nuanced areas that were ripe for some beautiful pictures again a sign of her experience and professionalism. I will definitely be using Jessica for my wedding and any other function where I need an outstanding photographer to capture the moment. My fiancée and I were beyond pleased and can’t wait to hire her again! Thank you Jessica!

We contacted Jessica kind of last minute, as we were unsure if we were going to use a photographer at all. Lucky for us, she was somehow available and we decided to book the same day we spoke. We are so glad we did, because she did a fantastic job!
I kept meaning to touch base the days leading up to the event, but forgetting to, so imagine how pleased I was when Jessica reached out first! Communication with her was always excellent. She was punctual the day of the event (we weren't even ready yet!) and super patient while we put the finishing touches on the bride. Once we got going, I think Jessica got every possible combination of the wedding party and family. We are a large family, so she truly is patient.
Now to the pictures... I wish I could upload some, because the few I have seen are gorgeous! We gave her a general idea of what my parents wanted, and she did a fantastic job capturing their special day. My mom LOVED what Jessica did. She was so happy... Jessica honestly captured so many sweet moments.
We 100% would use Jessica's services again, and will recommend her to all of our local friends!

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My standard rate is $150/ hr. (2 hr minimum), including retouches, as a ballpark figure for all event photography. The portrait packages are higher - since my clients get bigger exports for prints.
Since Covid, I have been lenient with travel fees, location changes and give discounts. I like to work with people's budgets and adjust my amount of retouched photos accordingly.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I try to make the process as easy as possible and the client can fill out a form on my website, providing me with information such as:
- Date and location
- Budget
- Retouches required or raw, instant Aircam delivery
The 50% deposit can easily be paid through Venmo or Zelle.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm self taught and took lighting workshops to step up my game. Being a filmmaker as well, I got my expertise on framing and momentum on sets.
The rest is experience and pushing yourself to get better every day.
