I am passionate about photography and have more than a decade of experience shooting events, portraits, architecture and nature. I use high end equipment (Nikon d7200 and Nikon d600 along with multiple lenses). My love for photography began when I first clicked the shutter on my Dad's old Yashika! My initial experiences began with film and a darktoom. I shot for my high school yearbook! I love the creative freedom of photography and the limitless perspectives the art offers. I truly appreciate spending time with new clients to learn about their personalities, interests and unique styles, so I am able to customize the experience, to achieve their desired results.

She did such an amazing job !! All the kids felt so comfortable with her and she made sure to ask me from the start what I wanted her to focus on with the people, decorations , etc. Kimberley will now be our go to person for any event photography needs. She went above and beyond any expection I could of ever imagined !!:)

FANTASTIC! I loved every second of our engagement photo shoot with Kimberly. Kimberly was not only super knowledgeable in regards to the surrounding area and photography, but she was also really personal and a great person to work with! Her artistic vision is unmatched and she is definitely a cut above the rest! My fiance and I loved her so much that we asked her to be our wedding photographer as well. Kimberly is reliable, timely and beyond professional. She was genuinely excited for us and truly cared about the success of the surprise engagement, and without her help, the day would not have gone so perfectly. Kimberly was able to draw my fiance and I together, making us not only comfortable, but making it a bonding moment for me and my future wife. I would have hired her solely for her personality, but her photography and editing capabilities are INCREDIBLE! I am beyond satisfied with Kimberly's Photography.

Kimberley was so great to work with. I found her on here to take our Engagement photos and we spoke beforehand to go over ideas and themes that I was looking for in the photos. She found an AMAZING location for our "woodsy" feel photos as well as a great "downtown" for some juxtaposition. She came with some great ideas for poses, and asked if there was anything I had seen and wanted to try as well. She has a great eye for composition and I am SO PLEASED with the final product. She was fast and also turned over so many photos to choose from (over 400)! I can't say enough great things!

Kimberley was great. She was passionate, flexible, and captured some outstanding creative photos. The shoot was everything we wanted and she was a pleasure to work with. If that weren't enough, she gave us our photos very quickly!

We hired Kimberley to photograph our son's first birthday, and she was great in every way. Here's the rundown: She was very responsive on Thumbtack and on the phone in setting up the appointment. And she showed up to the event right on time. We were still setting up the room, and Kimberley just jumped right in to help. She put up bunting, helped us with some great decorating ideas - how great is that?? And during the event, she was so patient with my son, and happily watched over him too, when our attention was divided. She was right there for group picture moments, but she was never obtrusive. She also got the pictures back to me super quick after the event. And the pictures are just gorgeous. She's caught so many adorable expressions on my baby's face. And she's made sure to capture all those party details that you look for as a host - from decorations to food to the gift table; and most importantly, all those lovely candid moments with guests that you treasure afterwards. Kimberley is a great photographer, and a lovely warm person too. Do hire her if you get the chance! We're definitely going to look to her for future events.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Depending on my new client's wishes, we either have an in person meeting or a telephone conversation, so I can learn more about their specific interests, such as creative approach, location, anticipated expectations and any particular ideas they may have. I especially enjoy getting a sense of their personalities, as it is wonderful when a personality shines in a photo!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taken a few courses in photography at Foothill College and San Jose Camera. I also belong to a couple of photograpy meet-up groups.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I photographed many events for family and friends over the years and so many of them recognized my passion for photography and ability to engage quickly with others. That said, I was encouraged to start a professional business and I am so glad I did! My love for photography is so intense ... it doesn't feel like work at all :-)
