Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: Many people now hire resume writers, so even a professionally written resume usually looks average. I'm especially qualified to make your resume stand out in today's market: 1. I have written resumes for people from C-level executives to new graduates. As a seasoned resume writer and member of the National Resume Writers’ Association, I'm an expert in this field’s current practices. 2. I have also been a recruiter, so I know how hiring managers select a resume from hundreds of others, and I understand the full hiring process. 3. I’m up to date with applicant-tracking software (ATS) systems. More than 90% of the resumes sent for a typical opening won’t be seen by human eyes because ATS systems first screen them. They require effective use of keywords and certain types of formatting. I regularly see formatting errors in other writers' resumes. 4. I’m an unusually versatile and creative writer. I have written resumes, web pages, a book about creativity called "Thinking in a New Light" (it's available on Amazon), and articles about art, travel, world cultures, creativity, business, and religious studies. I’ve traveled extensively in 34 countries. Extra creativity and the ability to look at people and their resumes in novel ways, with a larger range of ideas, make a big difference now that resume writing has become more competitive. I will be able to see all of your strengths in more ways than other resume writers will, and my versatility as a writer will allow me to give them more impact. I enjoy discovering the richness in people, and I've found that each person is unique and infinitely deep. I like to leverage the breadth of my experience to see people from more angles than conventional resume writers can and make them stand out in saturated job markets. My process is thus highly customized; it includes: 1. An initial meeting that lasts about 2 hours. I ask questions about how people stand out from every angle I can think of. I use my 30 years of business experience, world travel, and studies of creativity and world cultures to come up with insights that uncover hidden selling points. Many clients have found that these extra insights also helped them succeed in interviews. 2. A second discussion that covers all the details in the rough draft of the resume. 3. As many subsequent discussions as clients need. 4. Meticulous craftsmanship in the writing. I've seen English errors in many professionally written resumes. A lot of resume writers enter the field from HR or career coaching fields, so they're not professional-level writers. Mastery of the English language is as difficult as becoming an engineer--it takes years of training. I use my 30 years of writing and intensive reading to optimize English's many nuances and the resume's flow of ideas. 5. Letter-by-letter editing. It's very easy to miss typos in resumes, and having a typo on yours is like showing up for an interview with a coffee stain on your shirt. 6. Keyword and formatting optimization for applicant-tracking software systems. 7. Tips about jump-starting your job search after I finish the resume.

My savior in the world of resume writing and career marketing! I've been CEO and co-founder of a successful e-commerce business and run my own consultancy for the last ten years. As such, it's been a loooong time since I've written a resume or needed one. I am now making a career pivot and am applying for positions abroad. I was in overwhelm, with the classic entrepreneur's rant, "unemployed and unemployable, that's why I have my own company." I wasn't impressed with the quality of the numerous resume writers I was finding versus the fees they were charging. My pain point was, how do I find somebody to extract all the varied and valuable skills, initiatives and accomplishments I've had the last ten years of running my own businesses? Luckily, I found Brian. His process is very in-depth, consisting of a two hour onboarding interview, a follow-up revision session, and as many drafts and edits of your resume as needed until I was happy. I also had him re-create my LinkedIn profile. The end product is exactly what I wanted and needed and I'm so glad that I chose him to do the work. His rates are very, very reasonable, quite a bit less than others I'd found, and the quality of the work, extraordinary. Plus he's a world-traveler, author and musician, so the side conversations are great as well. Highest recommendation! Thanks, Brian.

I worked with Brian to update my resume 2 years ago, and shortly thereafter got a great job. Now I'm updating my resume again and the first person I called was Brian. Not only does Brian write your resume, but he really helps you get more crisp on what your key strengths and achievements. Brian is great at getting the best out of you, really helping you identify your key selling points. Brian will help get your resume focused on 'what you achieved' in previous roles rather than 'what you did/ was responsible for'. Brian is also in the know on the latest trends in recruiting and applicant tracking software and helps tailor your resume accordingly. Brian is professional, made scheduling easy and the whole experience was seamless.

Brian is an amazing resume writer and career advisor. He is very intelligent and has a background in writing and head hunting that is truly represented in the conversations you have with him. He really likes to dig deep into your experience and have a full understanding of your accomplishments to make your resume flourish. He also connects the job description to your resume so it will stick out compared to the others prospects. He gives wonderful advice and cares about your long-term success, which is hard to find nowadays. I am grateful for the opportunities he has helped me land that he will be forever my go-to for professional help. I would highly recommend getting a consultation with him!
