If you need a cabinet, go to Ikea. If you seek a work of art, see Jake Gevorgian at Palo Arte Woodworks. See https://www.instagram.com/jake_gevorgian/ for detail photos of his work and the numismatic cabinet that he built for me. Jake is a master craftsman, specializing in contrasting dovetail joints as well as mortise & tenon joinery instead of common wood screws to hold pieces together. The Instagram photos reveal the care & effort he takes to create seamless, flowing wood grains across cabinet faces & all adjacent pieces. Jake seeks to bring his customers' woodworking ideas to life and will work closely to achieve unique results.

Jake did a great job fabricating two beautiful beechwood bookshelves for us. He is very thorough and detail-oriented. Came by the house to look at the space, reviewed our design ideas, and actually improved the design by the way he built the shelves. Excellent craftsmanship and quality. I'd definitely recommend him.

FAQs

  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

There are many and I’m always fond of my works, because I spend many hours and effort to save the wood and never destroy it. That is why, I think my work is always rising an eyebrow.
