Eva was the absolute best. She was very timely in all her communications and incredibly thorough, she was patient with our mess of a bookkeeping we had with Wave. I arrived at Eva Hughes' office - first visit - it was so lovely, and Ms. Hughes greeted me so warmly, and we immediately - no waiting - went to work together! Within one hour, we had completed all entries and questions, and she helped me so much and answered all my questions. This is the first time that I have had such a wonderful experience in preparing my tax returns! I thank heavens that I found Ms. Hughes on your thumbnail - I have been praising her every since to my co-workers and family. She emailed to review immediately, even called me to assure me and answer any questions and Monday, I had my tax return, which was perfect and professional and with my approval, filed it! If there's one thing I've learned about doing business in L.A. it's to shop around. There are a lot of slick talking professionals charging exorbitant and unreasonable fees, especially to small business owners. My small business requires a few tax documents and payroll to be filed. I was paying an arm and a leg to have it done each year. After talking with Eva for about 35 minutes on the phone she was able to clearly answer questions my current tax preparer regularly danced around (like what will my final bill be this year, what's the advantages/disadvantages to having an s-corp in CA, etc...) After the call I decided to go in for a meeting and make the final decision based on that. We spoke for about an hour and it was clear that she was a much better fit for me and my small business than my current accountant. Very happy to be in the process of putting everything in her hands and paying less than half what I was each year. It's also a plus that she is pretty green (as in handles most things online rather than bogging me down with giant inflated packets of papers to make it look like she's done more work). Thanks Eva! Look forward to a long and prosperous business relationship with you.
