FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is based on an evaluation of the ease or complexity of a particular client's business services need. My rates are competitive with those charged in the tax preparation and business services industries, and my clients feel that they are getting top service at a good value.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to schedule an introductory phone call to get a clear understanding of the client's bookkeeping or tax service needs, and get contact information to forward a list of information needed to proceed.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's Degree from California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo (Cal Poly), where I studied Business Administration and Accounting. I have over 20 years of industry experience working with non-profits, manufacturers, wholesalers, hospitality, government contractor, food and beverage, churches, construction, media, and banking. I am an Enrolled Agent, licensed by the Department of Treasury (IRS) to represent taxpayers in any and all federal tax matters. As such, I complete a minimum of 72 hours of continuing education every three years to maintain my license, and even more to maintain membership in the National Association of Enrolled Agents (NAEA) - 30 hours per year. I am a Certified Bookkeeper and member of the American Institute of Professional Bookkeeper (AIPB), as well as a Certified Quickbooks ProAdvisor, and a Freshbooks Certified Bookkeeper.
