- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I feel my prices are fair. My rate per hour is $50.00 an hour. For more than twice a week,I charge 45.00 an hour. If I need to travel out of my area, there might be an additional charge for mileage. For art classes, my rate per 90 minutes is 60.00. If there are more than 4 students, then I lower the fee, which I will discuss. Supplies are included.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I conduct an initial consultation at no charge, either on the phone or in person. First I discuss my background and experience I have in tutoring, which is in early math and reading literacy. What are his or her strengths and weaknesses? What reading level is the student on? Where does the student learn best? Does the student need to be tutored more than once a week? I let the parent/parents know that if needed, I am open to speak to the teacher with a signed waiver. I personally feel it is important to be on the same page with the teacher. Communication is my number one priority. By the way, I also conduct Art Classes.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a teaching certificate-from Northeastern University, located in Boston, MA, where I graduated from. (BSED) I also have an Art Facilitator Certificate from Art 4 Creative Healing, Laguna Niguel CA. They are affiliated with the education department, of Chapman College, located in Orange, CA
