Did wood laminate install some work for our guest house and was prompt and professional. One of those DIY jobs that I got 70% through and hit a wall. Shoulda just hired gil from the beginning.

Gil is a nice guy and a hard worker but unfortunately I had issues with the quality of the work both during and after his installation of our door and vinyl plank flooring. The door was never properly hung and I had to rip it out and replace it with another due to all the unneccesary holes he drilled in the frame while trying to install it. As for our flooring, he initially installed it wrong and had to rip it out and replace it. After only a month there are visible gaps between planks and uneven planks which have risen or sunk. Upon further investigation it appears when the flooring was removed and reinstalled the click and lock edges that were cut for the wall/sides ended up joined in the center of the floor with no click and lock support. The result is a sharp edge in the center of the floor that we keep hitting our foot/toe on when entering the shower. The trim edging he installed was also done with white caulk instead of clear which he attempted to clean and reinstall using clear caulk. Unfortunately the cleaner he used has somehow reacted with the caulking causing it to turn a pink color for some reason against the white baseboard. Additionally when I took him to Home Depot for materials he also selected all the wrong type/size of connective hoses for installing my sink faucets and I had to take them back and return them. Gil did work very late into the night on one of the days which I certainly appreciate, however, I've basically had to rip out and redo all of the work that he did for us which has cost me time and additional money for labor and wasted materials.
