Amin helped me mount a 50" TV on a brick & mortar fireplace. Amin impressed me because this wasn't a straight forward job because of the brick and the studs that prevented an easy through the drywall type of mounting. He was very responsive, timely, and had all the right tools and training as a civil engineer to help us select the best configuration to conceal our cables. His pricing is very reasonable and transparent and he offered me other great tips on where to find reduced price electronics. Amin finished the job and cleaned up in a little over two hours. It was a great learning experience for myself and a pleasure working with Amin.
Charles and his assistant was extremely accommodating and friendly. They were so positive and helpful. They worked with decency and manners. I've worked with large moving companies and the workers carried a poor attitude so that made the moving process even more stressful. I am actually hiring charles to help move again in the next month for another property. I would highly recommend !
Excellent worker. Good work ethics.
I had a previous bad experience with a plumber, and decided to find a more scrupulous person to fix the half-done job. I decided to try out thumbtack, and posted a brief description of the work. Joel was the first of 5 plumbers to reply within the hour. Joel showed up the morning of the job with another employee and reviewed my plumbing issue in detail before going into the crawl space with his associate to double check the situation. He came back out, described the problem, offered short and long term solutions, and we agreed on which route to take. He assigned the work to his employee, and the work was completed in a couple hours. Although he was not the cheapest of those plumbers who replied, I did feel that Joel provided a reasonable price for the work, had great communication, and his employee also had all the necessary parts for the job in his van (eliminating the need to run down to Home Depot or Lowes for parts). Joel's employee was hard-working and he also provided me with before and after photos of the work completed. I am inclined to seek him out again for future home improvement projects (bathroom remodel, roofing).
He patched the stucco for my house where I had some plumbing work done. He worked with my schedule far better than most and the quality of the work is awesome - I cannot really tell where the patch was done - he exactly matched the wall texture.
Rudy did a great job removing my popcorn ceiling! He sets the bar high for other professionals as he was punctual, quick and very through. When he left, the room was even cleaner than when he started.
Ramirez exceeded my expectations. I accidentally spilled acetone on our wood table and ruined the finish on one of the leafs. I knew I didn't have the skills to fix it myself, but I didn't want to spend a ton of money on it either. I reached out to a few pros via Thumbtack and Task Rabbit. Ramirez was the first to respond and offered to come over and give an estimate for free. He came that same day, explained exactly what he would do and how long it would take, and gave the best price by a long-shot. When it came to be the day of our service, he showed up on time and got to work. He was very polite, non-intrusive, and task-oriented, so I felt comfortable having him work in the back when I was the only one home. He sanded the damaged leaf and lightly sanded the other leaves to make sure the table was even. He had brought a color that he thought would work but, after matching it to the undamaged parts of the table, he decided to go and purchase a better match. The end result made the table look brand new. He did a fantastic job and was sure to give me a few pointers before he left (i.e. how long I should wait before setting anything on the table). On his way out, I asked him how much it would cost to have him come back and repair some damaged stucco on the exterior of the house. (We had family over and one of them clipped the corner of the house with their car, which damaged the stucco and paint.) He said that it was an easy fix, got his tools, and did it before he left for free. He even helped me find the paint in the garage since I wasn't quite sure which one it was. Great service. Great work. I'd use him again and recommend him without hesitation. Thanks, Ramirez!!!
"Let me start by saying it was a pleasure working with Richard, and his team. They were easy going and very professional. Richard walked me through the entire process step-by-step, and delivered exactly what I was looking for. We had a few areas with stucco and wood damage, these items were repaired with topnotch materials and blend right in with the rest of the house. The entire process took a little under two weeks (January 2018) and everything is holding up just fine. Our home looks beautiful... Thank you, Richard! Would I recommend Richard to family and friends? Absolutely 100% YES!!"
Frank did a fantastic job repairing my wood fencing and repatching my stucco wall. I am extremely picky when it comes to stucco finish and I must say that he exceeded my expectations. His work blended perfectly with the wall leaving no hint of the repatching. He also replaced several old wood planks in my fencing making sure to match his work with what is already in place. After painting the fencing, it looked brand new. Frank was quick to reply with a quote, quick to stop by and discuss/review the project with me and quick to get the job completed upon hiring him. He is very professional, knowledgeable and has an impressive work ethic. I highly recommend him based on my own experience.
Contacted George with a list of projects I had in mind, but needed a price to see how much I could get done and what the costs would be. George came over to give me a quote and a breakdown of costs of each project and payment schedule, which I appreciated. We went ahead with the work. One of the bigger projects we had George and his team do was to knock down our existing patio and concrete and put up a new one. Old patio was 15' x 20' we did a new 15' x 40' patio. Very happy with the quality of work and the patio itself. Other projects include removing bulkhead and putting up new drywall, installing can lights, new roof, and putting up new doors. I was most impressed by two things - 1) the open communication between us, and 2) the professionalism and politeness from George and his workers. Even little hiccups were properly communicated and worked out. I will definitely be working with them again.
Scott does great job. Still doing various jobs around/in/out of house from tile work, stucco, concrete, painting etc. affordable, reliable and will continue to hire Scott!
Carlos was very responsible and punctual, his work quality and detail went beyond my expectations.. his workers also very reliables!
I can't recommend Peter highly enough.I enjoyed working with him. His work is fantastic. His fees are more than reasonable. He is more than capable of helping out with all sorts of projects - stucco, painting, repairs, etc. Give him a shot with your projects. He won't disappoint you.
Scope - replace hallway floors (due to slight flooding/leak); gut reno one of the bathrooms; customize hallway closet(s). Pros: - Contractor was prompt to respond and quick to commence the job - Joe and his team are very professional - Quality of work is good - It is apparent that State Wide has a Subject Matter Expert for every aspect of the reno (different folks for plumbing, carpentry, tiles, flooring). Most likely 3rd parties but pros nonetheless. - flexible payment structure (also accepts CCs) Cons: - Execution was very slow; perhaps Joe's team was focused on bigger projects (it was mentioned on a few occasions) and it was apparent that our reno was not prioritized. - there were items that should have been spec'd out and ordered as to avoid delays (e.g. floor should have been matched on day1, subway tiles etc..). Numerous days were wasted as the team was waiting on the materials - my biggest frustration with the reno was the lack of empathy and accountability. Excuses/justifications were presented instead of just owning up to the significant delay (work was supposed to be executed in 10-14 days max; it took 30 days). It would have been completely fine if the delay was communicated properly instead of us hounding the team. Overall, we are happy with the renovation.
We had just bought a new house and wanted to renovate a bedroom and bathroom that had not been permitted by the previous owner. We hired Ronald Butler and his crew because out of all the contractors we interviewed, he seemed the most knowledgeable and apt to delivering the services we were looking for. From the outset of the renovation, it was clear that our new home was going to need much more work than we anticipated. The discoveries we made when opening up walls, prompted us to change our scope of work. We were now facing new electrical, plumbing, foundation, roofing, and flooring among other things. My wife and I were nervous about the changes because of the financial ramifications, and with two small children, the impact it will have on our living conditions for the next several months. Fortunately for us, we found the right contractor. Ronald's no nonsense advice, professional guidance and expert workmanship has made this process a lot more manageable than we thought. The project included in addition to the aforementioned scope: new floor plan, new HVAC, new tankless water heater, high efficiency appliances for a new kitchen, solar tubes, new electrical sub-panels, two new bathrooms, with new tub, all new fixtures, toilets and sinks, new laundry room, energy efficient recessed lighting throughout the house, new copper piping, gas piping, new electrical conductors, recepticles and switches, new windows, interior and exterior doors, new drywall and paint, new insulation, and a new 400 square foot deck. There were many challenges throughout this project, and Ronald and his crew met and overcame each one in a timely fashion, with courtesy and professional tact. My wife and I feel very fortunate to have found Ronald. He has not only delivered us a completely renovated home, that meets all of our contemporary criteria with all the new energy efficient home options, but he has also given us peace of mind and security for us and our children in an ideal home for many years to come. ....photos coming soon.
Luis came out to patch some stucco where I'm having a new electrical panel installed. Matched and blended it perfectly. Even patched a few other unrelated areas for me. Professional, good communication, and on time. Will ask him to help me again in the future. Thanks Luis!
Felix was awesome. He was very patient and explained the process step by step. We picked a particular stucco color for our brick flowerbed border that he built and when he went to get it it was a completely different color from the chart. He took the time to call me, text me pictures and helped me to pick the correct color. He was A1 to work with and I would highly recommend him to friends and family. Thank you Felix. I hope we will be able to work together again!!
Ignacio is very honest, reasonably priced, professional, and an all around nice person. He has done different jobs for me in my house and commercial building.
Gil is a really pleasant, trustworthy, and diligent worker. I recommend him.
P & R Lathing is the best. I have been building additions and homes in south OC since 1977, I have seen many, many stucco crews. P & R is hands down the best quality and group of professionals you will find. High quality craftsmanship, materials and honest hard working personal makes this company a true pleasure to work with.
The quality of work that Chris delivered was amazing. He was responsible, punctual and over all a great worker. I hired him to install flooring and he did an amazing job! I highly recommend this compnay for any job!
