Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I handle all service calls and remodels myself. In other words, the work is done by a licensed contractor and not by less qualified or less experienced laborers. I have developed long term clientele among locals and second home owners, some of whom have become close, personal friends.

Very satisfied customer. Have been using Greenside Plumbing for my rental properties. John always responds in a timely fashion and makes sure the job is done right. My tenants appreciate having the problems fixed quickly and so do I. His hourly rates are reasonable and his estimates are pretty accurate. I found him to be straightforward, giving me a quote for what a typical job runs and then letting me know what the high end for a "worst case scenario" might be. When I called another company on the north shore they gave me a flat rate quote which was several hundred dollars more than Greenside's high end estimate for replacing a water heater and a stopping drain. Each time the job came in quite close to his low end estimate. He offers good advice and actually talked me out of installing two new on-demand water heaters since this area experiences frequent power outages from winter storms. On his recommendation I ended up adding just one extra 75 gal water heater to the largest rental and saved a lot of money. Overall very good service.

Pleasant, friendly, and helpful. Rates were very competitive with other local plumbers we had called last winter for a freeze up. We ended up paying a lot more to that company-- just waiting for 1 plumber to drive to town to get parts while his counterpart waited at the house doing nothing--so we were paying two hourly rates! My neighbor who's lived in Truckee for a long time suggested Greenside Plumbing aka Truckee Plumbing Services. John returned our call within a few minutes and managed to squeeze us in the same afternoon because he was working in Glenshire. His original estimates were accurate and actually came in at the low end because there was easy access to the leak, not always the case trying to get under the house with the amount of snow still on the ground. Will definitely use him again.

We came up on a Friday afternoon with several friends and discovered there was no hot water at the house. John returned our call within a few minutes and told us he would fit us into his schedule. We really appreciated that because otherwise we would have driven back home to Orinda or gone to a hotel. He was able to get the water heater going again and suggested since it was nearly 20 years old that we should think about getting it replaced sometime this year or next to avoid more problems. He also gave us good advice about winterizing the house since we're not there often. Highly recommend him.
