There is an art to teaching guitar. Being a great player does not make you a great teacher necessarily. I have seen many guitar players claim to be music teachers. It is not my intent to put anyone down but many players consider themselves teachers simply because they can play. They don't have a concrete "road map" to get from point A to point B - some "teachers" just "wing it". My lessons have been developed over the last 30 years to TEACH music in a way that not only provides you the skill needed in playing the instrument but also the knowledge to figure out how to play something on your own without the help of the teacher. I not only teach you how to play the guitar, I strive to give you the concepts that you need to become a real musician. These concepts will work in a majority of musical situations. I will teach you as much or as little as you want to learn. It is about your musical goals not mine. Watching the student "get the concept." It is like watching the light bulb go on in the students mind. Smiles and enthusiasm start to appear which gets me all excited. I love to teach especially when the light switch is turned on!
