Danny and his crew did an excellent job even when other electricians said the job I needed was not possible!
John is a reliable and trust worthy handyman. We enjoy him as a person and the job we had him do was remove some plastic crown molding from our ceiling/walls and remove a wooden built in desk. While the price was agreed upon between us both, once the job was finished and I worked out the cost per hour I paid double what I normally would have, but the job was done in a timely manner and he was very clean, I appreciate when people clean up well after themselves. Also John is a gentleman and I trust him as a person and wouldn't hesitate to have him in our home, that is a huge positive. If you want a trust worthy, reliable, clean and professional handyman I wouldn't hesitate to call John. I will use him again for sure and next time I think I will consider the cost rather than jump to say yes, that was my fault not John's to agree to it. John is a rare find.
I appreciated his work ethic and skill. He installed an electrical outlet. I compared his estimate with others and his price was fair and included patching the hole in the wall which other electricians would not do.
I hired Doug to install 2 wall timers that turned on outdoor patio lights for security purposes. I could usually tackle something like this on my own but was stumped because of the complicated wiring. He did this in less than half hour. Wow! I would hire Doug again without hesitation. He was the most thorough and knowledgeable electrician / handyman I've ever encountered in my ENTIRE LIFE! He worked quickly and was on time and pleasant and very knowledgeable when I asked him questions about electrical problems. Doug is a gem!
2 toilets repaired in less than an hour. He purchased the hardware and made the installation.
Hector did an excellent job. He showed up half hour early. Hector was very efficient and very friendly.
came after hours and did the repair immediately.
Our house in Corona was built around 1988 - 1990, and so our Circuit Breaker Panel was about 25+ years old and the switches were getting bad, and many of the handymen and servicemen that came to install our appliances or fix some electrical issues recommended that we look into upgrading our circuit panel. We knew that would cost us around $2K. Few months ago we decided to go ahead with this upgrade. We looked at different electricians in the area and some through Thumbtack, Tim was one of the five guys that gave us a quote here. We gave Tim a call and he came over our house to look at our system and gave us step by step details on what he would do to replace the circuit breaker, how much time it would take, what kind of licenses needed by the city, etc. His price quote was higher than most other estimates by other guys, but still was lower than $2K. We decided to go with him since he seemed very professional and knows what he is doing (we wanted this project to be done right from the first time), and was willing to work around our own schedule as we were doing other home improvement projects. We agreed to a certain day, and Tim went ahead and bought all the necessary parts for this task (which were covered by the price he gave us from the start and there were no changes). Tim contacted our electric company to get approval to turn off power on the day of so he can do his work/upgrade, and the company would turn the power back on the same day after the work was done. Tim arrived on time the day of the work, 7 AM, took about an hour to prepare the materials and make an opening on outside wall around where the old breaker panel was located (since the new 200 Amps panel would be much larger in size). Power went off the house at around 8 AM, by 12 or 12:30 PM all work was done and the power came back on. Tim originally estimated work time would be between 4 - 6.5 hours, our upgrade was easy and quick and so was on the lower end of the estimated time. We had to wait though until around 2 or 2:30 PM for the city inspector to come by and approve the work and issue us a license, but that was outside Tim's control since the inspectors don't give you an exact time but rather a window time frame when they would be in your area. Overall we are very happy with this upgrade, it’s been 3 months since, and everything is working nicely. After this project was over, we had to bring a handyman who would close up the stucco wall around the new breaker panel since a larger opening was needed to access the wires and Tim informed us about that from the very beginning. In the past few months we have brought Tim over to fix a couple other electrical issues around our house since we like his professional work and reasonable pricing and we are always happy with his finished work. We highly recommend using Tim (Electrical Connection) for your next electrical project/fix :)
Daniel is a very friendly and helpful young man, We hired him to help rake and stripe a softball field. The reason I gave him 4 stars is because he really wasn't experienced in this area. He did arrive on time and did a great job of communicating. Also, he took on this job with less than 24 hours notice. I appreciate him helping us out with this task. He is a hard worker!
Raul, Thanks for the very good electrical work you’ve done at my home. From rewiring, lamp work, new outlets and switches etc. I am always amazed at how well - and how quickly - you accomplish the projects. I would recommend you any time to anyone. It is refreshing to have a local competent electrician I can call for help on anything. Much appreciated! Tony D. Mueller,
Working with Sandro was a terrific experience. He is easy to get a hold of and was timely, professional and courteous. He listened to me while described the trouble I was having with the outlet under my kitchen sink and the garbage disposal. He was complementary and patient with me. Though he was only here for an hour I felt confident that he knew his craft and would find a solution to my wiring problem. I also felt comfortable having him in my home. He has a very positive and friendly demeanor. I will be hiring him for future projects and highly recommend him. We have already discussed repair work on my pool deck. Thank you Sandro.
Maria does FANTASTIC work. Don't be fooled into thinking that only men can do construction, because Maria is amazing. She is also a very pleasant person to have working in your house, which to me is important. She did an extensive remodel to our home that included our kitchen, master bathroom, and living & dining rooms. She took down walls and made them look like they were never there. She meticulously laid tile and wood flooring all throughout our home, and then put up beautiful crown moulding. A woman can do all this? Absolutely! She'll bring in the muscle when she needs to, she knows what she's doing. She is a skilled electrician, and basically rewired our whole house, and now everything works to perfection. She put in many long days at our house in Long Beach, and her work ethic was unbelievable. Contractor's sometimes get a bad wrap for being unreliable, but not Maria, she does what she says - ON TIME and WITHIN BUDGET (and with a smile, I may add). She has also done work for my parents and in-laws (which is how I found her), and all of us love Maria! Would I hire her again? 100% yes! In fact, we are saving up right now so she can come do the 2nd half of our house! Go with Maria, and you will be SO HAPPY you did!
When part of our home’s electricity went out on Thanksgiving a few hours before our guests were scheduled to arrive, we called Bradley. He arrived promptly and was able to fix some faulty wiring in our attic within one hour. He was professional and knowledgeable. I highly recommend him.
Recently over a strong wind and storm, we had a major tree branch fallen on our roof bringing down main power line to our service panel. Fire Department crew and Edison staff came out and took care of the imminent matters but Edison notified us that they will cut off our power unless we repair the damaged riser and reconnect all the electrical wires right away. We called around for the job but no general electricians were willing to do it because of the risk of handling a high voltage power line. Then, we found Tyson. After a phone call, he came over to our house right away on the same day and gave us a reasonable estimation specifying all the details of work and time and labor cost estimation, and we decided to hire him for the project. A couple of days later, he came over at the crack of dawn doing measurements for the needed supplies. He came back with all the supplies and began working on repairs. It was quite a project beyond what we first imagined. He had to establish and strengthen the existing power panel (we live in this 90-year old antique house) up to the code so that we will meet the current code of the power company. He had to reinstall with all new materials for the riser and connect the power line back to the electrical panel. While working on it, he found that more tree branches were in the way keeping the power line down, so he even gave a major tree trimming to do the job right. When he was done with his project, he not only installed the brand new riser but also trimmed our trees and further and fasten/strengthen the electrical panel. Now the power line to our house is well above what it used to be, keeping us safer than ever. All these work came out to be a major project and he had to put in so many more hours than he estimated. He worked hard all day long without stopping. We offered him more pay but he refused and asked only for the original estimation. We had to force him to accept our offer until he reluctantly accepted. We feel so lucky to have found a right and honest person for this job. We got the job done well and we know we will be safe with the installation he made for us. Besides, now we can always go back to him when we have more electrical problems in the future and we know he will be there for us with his honest hard work. Very Satisfied Customers in Arcadia, CA
Came home and my lights weren't working I gave him a call he got everything working in about an hour I would recommend him highly
Robert was prompt, competent in his field and I am very pleased with the electrical work he did for me and will definitely use him again.
2 days before Christmas all of our power went out in the house. We called Blayney Electric who was referred to us by a friend. They came out within the hour and informed us that we had melted our main breaker and needed to replace our main electrical panel. Since it was the Holidays they replaced the main breaker for us temporarily and came back the following week to preform the panel replacement. We were very happy we used Blayney Electric and they did an outstanding job.
I have had a couple of awful experiences with electricians in Los Angeles area so I was checking thumbtack trying to find a better experience and I found smart source electric. My job was done on time, on budget and Junior came up with some ideas I hadn't even thought of with my remodel to help me save some money. I can't wait for him to come back for phase two. I highly recommend him. Thank you Patricia C
Installed tv's on wall and added electrical outlets for tv wires.
I'm a property manager and I hired Joe to take care of a problem for a tenant on a Sunday afternoon. He was excellent! He took care of the problem fast, his price was much lower than other licensed electricians and he followed my instructions exactly. What I liked about him most was that he originally went to the project with one task to do and he took care of that in 2 minutes. Then the tenant showed him other problems and without charging extra he took care of those as well. I highly recommend him.
As an out-of-State homeowner, I depend on the honesty and integrity of people I hire online or over the phone. My pool guy told me I needed a new pump and timer, and he could replace the dual speed ones I have, with a single speed for $675 to save me money. I decided to get a second opinion from an electrician, and found Jay with JR Electric, who wrote a very good outline of what the problems could be, and what I needed to keep the pool clean, which was the dual speed I have. I didn't know this. He took the initiative and went to the house to diagnose it, and let me know that some adjustments might solve the shutting-off problem. So all he charged me for were 2 hours at a very, very reasonable rate to test and adjust the pump and timer, and it was fixed. I was surprised to find an electrician that knew so much about pool pumps, but it is SoCal. This guy is really good, and I advise you to call JR Electric for any electrical problem with any appliance or connection problem you might have. He is honest, realistic and reasonable, and will save you time, hassle, and money when you hire him. Also, he is a really nice guy which is a huge plus for a gal like me dealing with home maintenance from the East Coast. Hire Jay with JR Electric.
