FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing varies depending on the service, number of pets, visit frequency, location, and any special care needs. For boarding, rates are based on the suite selected and length of stay. For pet sitting and house sitting, pricing depends on the number of visits, pets & location. Holiday and peak-season rates may apply during high-demand periods. I provide upfront pricing before booking, with no hidden fees.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start by learning about your pets, their routine, personality, and any special care needs. For boarding clients, I ask that you complete an intake form and provide vaccination records before booking. For pet sitting and house sitting clients, I typically schedule a meet-and-greet so we can discuss care instructions, go over your home routine, and make sure we're a good fit. Once details are confirmed, I'll provide a quote and answer any questions. During the service, I provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident your pets are happy, safe, and well cared for. My goal is to make the process easy and stress-free for both you and your pets.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
While my background is based on hands-on experience rather than formal veterinary education, I've spent over 25 years caring for cats and have been providing professional pet care since 2020. I've volunteered and worked with local rescues and veterinary clinics throughout the Bay Area, gaining experience with cats of many ages, personalities, and medical needs. In addition to healthy cats, I've cared for seniors, shy and anxious cats, kittens, and cats requiring daily medications. I've also fostered shy and feral cats, helping them become comfortable with people and preparing them for adoption. These experiences have given me a strong understanding of feline behavior, body language, enrichment, and stress reduction techniques. I stay current on best practices in pet care through ongoing research, continuing education resources, and consultation with veterinarians when appropriate. Beyond my professional experience, I've been a lifelong cat owner and have personally cared for cats with a variety of medical and behavioral needs. As a pet care professional, I am insured and committed to providing safe, individualized care tailored to each pet's unique needs.
