FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, I take continuing education courses through out the year and am constantly updating my QuickBooks ProAdvisor certifications in my free time. (as I mentioned in another field above, I'm currently Gold status, which means I can save my clients 30% off all QuickBooks software, all QuickBooks Online subscriptions, and all checks or other supplies.)
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Interview people and try them out before you select a bookkeeper or accountant. If you are unhappy with your current person, try a new one. Don't settle for poor communication or sloppy work.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Intuit tells everyone they can buy QuickBooks and most people probably can. But setting up your QuickBooks file for the first time can be tricky. Your bookkeeping will be a lot better off if you have an expert set-up your bookkeeping system correctly and explain everything needed to maintain it. It would benefit anyone who wants to do their own bookkeeping to spend a few hours with me to make sure you are the right track.
