His van was fully equipped with professional-grade tools, and I learned that his family business is licensed, bonded, insured, and specializes exclusively in hardwood flooring—exactly what I was looking for. Paul does the work and his wife takes the new job orders. The following was my recent experience working with this vendor: 1. Delay in response to text messages and did not call back as promised twice. However, showed up on time. 2. Installation of laminate was ok. However, I feel that it was a bit rushed especially re-installation of the baseboards. Some of the baseboard corners are misaligned. Also, I had to tell him to keep the gap between tile and laminate transition point even. 3. Paul’s wife told me that Paul will do baseboard painting after installation and gave me a quote for that but Paul refused to paint the baseboard. I received a quote from another vendor for $200 cheaper for the same job but Paul showed up in the morning vs the other vendor was going to come in the evening at an inconvenient time for me. Therefore, I went with Paul. Overall, I think Paul did a good job but not the best.

Paul is the best! Not only does he answer promptly, his work is efficient, quality and great value. Not only was he able to get the floors completed to my tight schedule, he did a fantastic job. He is very nice in person and a very ethical person. I accidentally wrote the check for too much and he noticed and told me right away. Would I hire affordable hardwoods floors again? Absolutely!
