- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always been fascinated with art and drawing. Since I was a little kid. Eventually went to college and enrolled in several art classes. At some point was able to get the finances to buy the airbrushing equipment so I did and tried it. Liked it so much that I just went for it, self taught and with the help of YouTube and a cool store in Anaheim called CoastAirbrush, my hobby started bringing paying customers! :)
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common articles people ask me to airbrush are t-shirts! Everyone wants a custom t-shirt that NO ONE else has! The other thing that is very frequent are motorcycle gas tanks and helmets!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Check the quality of the materials they use. Also check the detail and quality of the art itself. When looking to get custom art or design, check for the style of the artist... it will transpose to your piece. Check for line definition and use of color... all these things will help you get a good job, one that you will like.
