There was a list of items from my home inspection that needed attention from the dry rot facia board replacements/seal/paint, cleaning/repair gutters, bathrooms caulking all round/adding trim to door, fixing the hole in the side garage door, stucco fixes/paint and numerous other smaller tasks. Bob made sure that I was satisfied with all the work and that is important. They did a great job. I'll be using them again.

Oscar textured the walls of two rooms where there had previously been wood paneling. He was such a fast no nonsense worker! Great quality texturing and provided several options at a reasonable price. We'll definitely hire him again for any other drywall needs.

My favorite rooms to work on are a Kitchen or Master Bedroom or Bathroom. I will never forget the time I was doing a Faux finish in a master bedroom and my clients wife came running into the room and gave me the biggest hug she was just so excited and happy. About

I was trained in the Carpenters union working in many divisions of the carpentry trade while attending trade school. As a carpenter or handy person, work is familiar to me, and customer satisfaction is pleasing--while the extreme exercise keeps you young. As a Honey Bee structural removal expert it is a pleasure to remove fearsome insects with easy and dexterity, and I try to help Honeybees and pollinators find a new home while earning a living. I remove simple swarms without charge in most cases.

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What is the best way to remove wallpaper?

There are several proven methods for wallpaper removal; each has its pros and cons, but some are definitely easier. Peeling is usually the least painful, followed by soaking and stripping. Dry-stripping is the next most time-consuming, and steaming the most work. The average wallpaper removal job costs between $360 and $560. The method of removal can affect the cost, as steaming takes longer than peeling and will therefore typically cost more. Peeling wallpaper off is usually the quickest method. To see if your wallpaper can be peeled off, try gently edging up a corner and carefully peeling the paper off the wall in strips. If you can’t peel, then you’ll have to score and strip it, either by dry-stripping or by soaking and then stripping. Plaster walls can withstand moisture and can stand up to soaking and stripping, but drywall should not be soaked. For very stubborn wallpaper, steaming may be necessary, which is time-consuming but effective. If you prefer not to attempt these methods yourself, wallpaper removal pros have the proper tools and experience to quickly take down wallpaper and also repair any damage to your walls.
