FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Hi! Here's a quick note about about pricing to help you as you navigate around my site. The hourly rate includes all editing work. Post-processing work for weddings usually takes about 4-5 weeks. Within a week, you will receive an online gallery of the top highlights as a sneak peak preview :) The rest will be uploaded onto a hard drive that I purchase and send in the mail for you. So when you see the rate of $400 an hr, that is not just the hourly shooting fee, but includes the several weeks of editing combined as a lump sum. For example, a 6 hr wedding package would cost $2400. That includes 6 hrs of shooting, For anniversaries, the same system runs with the hourly rate. Editing usually takes about 4-5 weeks. Highlight reels set to a song are sent either as a public or private link via Vimeo. All raw footage is uploaded onto a hard drive that I purchase for you and send via UPS.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
If a client connects with my work and reaches out, I like to meet for coffee and talk over the details if possible. If that isn't an option, I schedule a phone chat to go over more details. Moving forward, I then send an invoice for them to review. If all looks good, they sign, and pay a 10% non-refundable deposit. On the wedding day, I typically arrive around 30 minutes before the designated time to set -up. Additional hours can be added on the day of with an overtime charge per hour. I am based in L.A. but I don't charge a travel fee if the location is within a 2 hr drive.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
