FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Most home owners prefer our up front pricing method because when we provide a proposal, its more of an exact, rather than a guess or an estimate. The majority of our pricing is only provided on-site, in writing after review of the work that is desired by the home owner. We never perform any work without you approving the final cost first. No surprises! Most of our proposals end up being provided free of charge. Because there are costs associated with a simple visit, we charge an initial $19 service fee to come to the home and review the project. However, if a homeowner decides to hire Oracle for the work, the $19 service fee is waved or credited back to the job.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First we schedule your service appointment in 3 hour windows of arrival on any available day that works for the client. Yes, sometimes even on Sundays if that is the only day that works for the client. 8am to 11am, 11am to 2pm or 1pm to 4pm are the arrival windows we offer. When we arrive we review the work that the client would like to have done. Answer any questions then write up the proposal, then present it to the home owner. If they like what we offer, most projects can be started right away, many times even completed the same day! Its determined by the technician that is on site reviewing the job. Our proposals are good for up to 60 days.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been an electrician since 1995. I was an apprentice on the Coors Field project when it was being constructed. Obtaining a Master Electrician's license in Colorado requires thousands of hours of hands on verifiable experience in both commercial and residential disciplines, as well as extensive testing. Additional testing is required every 3 years just to keep that license up to date. I have personally wired, repaired and rewired hundreds of homes of all shapes and sizes. I have a hard time trying to determine if there is anything in a customers home that I am not familiar with!
