FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
While my academic background is in healthcare, I have intentionally developed my photography craft through hands-on experience, continued education, and ongoing refinement of my artistic style. Paid courses that I've completed include instructors whose work most inspired me- Chris Burkard, Alex Strohl, Charlee Wild and Joe Shutter. My favorite in-person workshop that I attended was an Antarctic expedition with a group of passionate, like-minded photographers.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I’ve worked with a wide variety of clients including for weddings, commercial events, newborn sessions, engagements, personal branding, maternity, families, sports, lifestyle portraits, couples, dating app portraits, adventure sessions, nature, pets, travel, and behind-the-scenes movie stills.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Try to find a photographer whose eye & editing style naturally matches what you’re drawn to. While you can always share inspiration photos, choosing someone whose portfolio already reflects your vision will help you be happy with your photos! Also, choose someone you feel comfortable around. Most people feel a little stiff at the beginning of a session - that’s completely normal. A good photographer will help you relax, guide you naturally, and create an environment where you can be yourself. When you feel comfortable, your photos will reflect that!
