I have had some people very close to me suffer through bullying and sexual assault and given my martial arts background (14 years of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, 3 years of Muay Thai and 3 years of Taekwondo); this is my way of giving back to the community. Unfortunately, most of us will be exposed to a confrontational situation at least once in our lifetime. Hopefully, in the majority of these, we'll be able to talk to our aggressor and avoid getting physical. However, there will be times when the aggressor is a schoolyard bully, an abusive partner, a racist, or a drunk who prides himself in having "50 bar fights" under his belt. In such cases, you or your loved ones have only one option, and that is self-defense. What I love about what I do is mentally and physically preparing you for the day when it counts the most.

I'm really enjoying my lessons with Dr. Alli. The lessons are a great workout in addition to learning how to defend myself. He is patient, provides great guidance, and tells me stories so that I am more aware of bad situations that could happen. I like that the sessions are so hands-on, and repetitive so that I can learn the muscle memory.

As a person who has been in a violent relationship, this is a truly valuable class for any woman. He teaches you to defend yourself in every situation from being harassed at a street corner to getting trapped under someone truly intent on raping and/or killing you. I'm not someone who exercises regularly and I'm certainly not coordinated when it comes to sports, but he takes his time to make sure I get every move. He takes it slow but he definitely doesn't go easy on me either. His classes are fun and useful! And it's less than $100 a month for unlimited classes.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My lessons are $50/hour/person - if you are going to take multiple lessons or want to schedule lessons for multiple individuals we can discuss pricing and discounts.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My lessons are not a "one-size-fits-all" everything is tailormade to your individual needs and learning objectives. Our first meeting is a discussion of your needs and a proposed lesson plan.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a doctorate in geology from Colorado State University, I am certified by the Wilderness Medicine Institute in First Aid, have a green belt in Taekwondo, Blue Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and over 25 years of Martial Arts Experience.
