Dont pay him until he is completely done. I blame myself because I paid Antonio the day he poured the concrete. After that he said on four different occasions he or his crew would be back to repair chips and grade the drive. He came back one time and started the chip repair. The other 3 times he never arrived or called to tell me he couldnt make it...he simply left me waiting around waiting for him. Only after I submitted a review to the BBB Of Southern Colorado did he contact me saying he would finish the job, but I told him I couldnt afford to waste more time waiting for him when he didnt show up or call. He then reported to the BBB that hed never done the work for me so the report would not appear. Antonio did say he stopped by the house once when I was not home, but he actually knew I was out of town and wanted to be home when he did the work.

Nine weeks ago tomorrow we had a patio and sidewalk poured as well as a good size asphalt patch of our driveway. The initial response was great, they jumped right on the project and got the concrete poured and asphalt down all in the same day. We are extremely happy with how the patio and sidewalk came out. I'm a bit disappointed in the asphalt patch as I don't think they truly wanted to do the necessary prep work to get it the way I wanted. As I am not the professional asphalt person I trusted they knew what they were doing. We have now discovered it doesn't run off the way I wanted. They were a bit hard on things with the skid loader. They hit and broke the corner out of a dog house style cover we have over our well, they hit and broke the fence around the patio area, they backed into the trailer we have (which I asked if they wanted me to move before they started and they said it would be fine where it was) which in turn bent the chain link fence and post behind it, they hit the house and left marks on the stucco. To their credit, they did come back by and paint the marks on the house and tried to pull the trailer forward, however in doing so they bent the jack (they did buy a new jack and leave it for me). I told them I would fix the fence around the patio since I built it in the 1st place and wanted to make sure it was repaired the way I wanted it. They never did anything with the well cover, I had to take care of that as well as pulling the trailer forward and fixing the fence and jack. The worst part of it all is we are still waiting for them to come pick up the old concrete they removed. They piled it across the street in an empty lot and it has been nothing but excuses about their skid loader being in the shop for the past eight weeks. I have worked in construction for the past 30 years, including owning my own business for a while so I understand what it's like when some things are out of your control. I was patient for the 1st few weeks but have grown increasing less patient since (hence the reason I have waited 9 weeks to write a review). Again, being in construction I know what it's like getting paid, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt and paid them in full the day the bulk of the work was complete, my mistake. Obviously now I have no leverage to get them to come back and at this point it looks like they have no intention to. It's unfortunate that it's gotten to this point. They asked me to write a review right away, at least I knew better than to do that before the job was completely done. Had they completed everything in a timely manner I probably would have written a great review and given them 4 stars, but here we are. There is no way I would recommend them to anyone now!

We had Antonio from AM Paving and Konkrete give a bid to replace my 83 year old mother-in-laws driveway. We accepted the bid and waited for warm weather to do the work. When the weather warmed enough to install the concrete, they arrived promptly and did a decent job for the most part. The problem started when my mother-in-law made the mistake of paying them in full when they still had areas to clean up and fix some grass that got torn up...things they assured her they would take care of. Suddenly it became very difficult to reach them. The couple of times they did answer the phone, they always had an excuse as to why it wasn't done and would then say they would call right back to schedule a time to finish - they never did. Then they stopped answering the phone and didnt respond to the messages we left. After 7 weeks and multiple ignored calls, weve given up that they will ever follow through and finish the work they said they would do. I do not recommend AM Asphalt and Konkrete. Find someone who will actually finish the work they start, follow up on their promises, and not take advantage of elderly widows.

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We actually were in contact with your mother-in law during this time and with the uncertainty and constant social distancing measures of covid, I made the decision to wait until lock down measures are lifted to be around others. Safety is our main concern at this time, I apologize my crew left our forms on the side of the fence and we take care of it. Thanks
