FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing is based upon industry standards for similar work and varies depending on the work. For example, fence work is priced by the linear foot whereas general construction is hourly. Plumbing and electrical rates differ as they are more difficult and potentially dangerous areas of work. We strive to provide excellent service at a reasonable price. We offer a 10% discount to Military, FF, EMT, Police, Nurses, and Teachers.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When we acquire a job, we will review the scope of work with the customer and make every effort to capture every risk up front and discuss possible solutions should they arise. We discuss billing, work time, accessibility to the work site and if there are any special issues we need to be aware of. For instance, do we need to work around nap time for toddlers in the home? If so, we adjust accordingly to meet the customer's needs.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Master's Degree in Space Acquisition & Project Management. I've used this education and 10 years of Project Management experience to develop cost and schedules to fit the customer's budgets and needs. I learned the basics of carpentry while working over a summer awaiting entry into the Air Force. Over the years, I developed the skills and knowledge to build a home from the ground up. The military trained me in many areas or work but I spent about 10 years as an electronics tech and love doing this type of work.
