- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Take some time to look at their work and get to know them. There is nothing worse than spending an hour (or a day for a wedding!) with someone you are uncomfortable with. And be open and upfront with your expectations of the outcome. If your photographer doesn't know that you are uncomfortable having the left side of your face photographed, it could get awkward. If the wedding photographer doesn't know that you haven't seen great grandma in 10 years and you probably won't ever see her again, he/she won't know how disappointed you will be if the photos come back without a good shot of you with great grandma! Talk about the photos in the portfolio you like, and dislike, and why.
