We had a L2 Car Charging port installed in our garage. Quote process was easy. Job was well done under difficult house design. Installation work was completed in about a half day. Things to know before you have an EV charger installed: -Know the Max Amps you to support your vehicle or plan for future vehicles with higher needs. -There is an 80% rule for continuous draw on a circuit. 60 amp circuit will only allow 48ams continuous draw. Plan with your electrician, higher amps require different cable standards, so get the right cable type installed or your circuit rating. - if you are not installing a hard wired, L2 wall-mounted charger that can give the full 80% of the amps, then know the max amp specs for your outlet type and your mobile charger. A NEMA 14-50 outlet maxes out at 40 amps continuous draw (not 48amps if the breaker and wire supports 60 amps). - If you are just using a mobile charger, have it handy when the outlet is installed. It often works better for mobile chargers (Tesla and several others on Amazon) to have the ground at the top of the outlet, not the bottom. That way allows the mobile charger to hang from the outlet easier. (We are flipping our outlet over after the install.) -You will probably never be sad that you don’t have to go to the gas station again! Cheers!

He drove far across the city to take care of my family. What I really liked about Stuart is that he is primarily concerned about what your need is and has a deep desire to take care of you and your family. There was even a complication with my job that other contractors would have cut corners on, but Stuart completed it after it was discovered because he said he would do so before that time. HE IS A MAN OF HIS WORD! There was NO arguing, foul language, hassle, or any concerns about inviting him into our home. I even requested a tiny detail be changed at the end and he immediately addressed the issue with a smile. He didn't tell me how to fix it myself, he took the time to complete the request because his personal nature is to take care of people and do the best job he possibly can. I will be recommending Stuart for any electrical jobs that come up in my house and throughout my neighborhood. Attached is a picture of the outlet he installed behind our toilet. Stuart was amazing! He was able to fit my project in between two jobs he had scheduled. The whole time he was in contact with me—at the prior job, text me when he was on my way to my house—I didn't need to be there as it was an outside project—he completed the work promptly, called me to follow-up and let me know exactly what it was that he did—He cut down a conduit below grade and removed the electrical line. (BTW, he went above and beyond and did extra work on my electrical by pulling out the electrical line). I will use Elite Design again as I will be gutting my kitchen and family room after the New Year...Stuart will be my electrical go to person for this project as well!! THANK YOU, Stuart!!

I contacted Thumbtack on Saturday afternoon. I received some referrals, emailed Stuart and he responded very quickly. He actually spoke with my sister. He made arrangements to be at the house on Sunday (no extra charge). He showed up at the agreed upon time, was knowledgeable, fixed the problem (a fire within the electrical outlet!) and charged a reasonable price. He made quite an impression all the way around! We are very grateful and will definitely call him again.
